Purpose
of the
Massachusetts Community College Council
We, the members of
the community college professional
staff, believing in the unique contributions of the community college
to American education, have organized to strengthen and secure this
type of education for those who desire additional education beyond high
school, for those who would be deprived of this education were it not
readily accessible, and for those who wish a more individual
orientation to higher education.
Because we so
believe, the members
of this Council have organized into a collective bargaining unit in
order to maintain and improve the quality of educational services
through the protection of professional rights and the advancement of
the economic well-being and the working conditions of its
members.
