The Day Bargaining Team has asked me to report the ratification vote results:

YES: 740

NO: 190

Challenge: 7
Blank: 2
Late: 27

The Agreement is ratified.

In coming days, I'll have more to report about dates for the formal signing and execution/delivery of the cost item request to Administration & Finance and the Governor.

A tentative day contract for the period July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2009 has been agreed to by the negotiating teams for the MCCC and the Board of Higher Education.

On Friday August 25, the MCCC Board of Directors voted to recommend ratification.

Ratification voting was conducted by mail.

Deadline for receipt of returned ballots	Thursday, September 21, 2006

The MCCC negotiating team committed to sending representatives to a chapter meeting, at the chapter's request, whenever possible, to answer questions. Meetings occurred at almost every chapter.
