Spring 2007

NEA Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly
Washington DC
July 1 - July 6
Info at NEA Site

Please Respond by Friday April 18
Failure to Respond Will Result in Losing any
MCCC Funding Eligibility

You have been elected as an MCCC delegate or alternate to the NEA Delegate Assembly. We in the MCCC office need to supply the MTA/NEA with delegate lists, and determine eligibilty for MCCC support. Some electees do not choose to attend, and so others become eligible for support. People need to buy plane tickets or make other travel arrangements as early as possible. This all takes time. Your timely cooperation is most appreciated.

IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR MCCC FUNDING, YOU MUST NOTIFY US BY FRIDAY APRIL 18 IF YOU DO PLAN TO ATTEND. (See below.) If you do not let us know we must assume you are not interested, and offer funding to the next eligible electee.
If you are not eligible for MCCC funding you must notify us by Friday April 18 if you DO plan to attend IF you become eligible for funding. We work hard to determine this as quickly as possible.
Delegate Status and MCCC Support

The top 15 electees are eligible for $800 of MCCC expense reimbursement. All 29 delegates are eligible for a $400 MTA stipend. The most current eligibility information will be kept here. There will be changes as people decide they may not attend, or are elected as MTA delegates, so there may be some email dialog between you and the MCCC office. And this is why the choices below are a bit complicated.

Please respond to the following questions in light of the facts in the preceding paragraph.
I am eligible for MCCC funding and I DO plan to attend. (We realize some of you may become eligible for MTA funding, but please check here for now.)
I am not currently eligible for MCCC funding, or are not in the top 27, but I will attend only if funding becomes available. (You can check this whether or not you are currently in the top 27.)
I am not currently eligible for MCCC funding, but I DO plan to attend whether or not I have MCCC funding, if I am in, or move into, the top 27 (i.e. elected as a delegate). (This does not cancel possible funding - we'll fund you if you are in or move into the top 15.)
