Adjunct Ad Hoc Committee Formed

Regional meetings with adjuncts have gone very well this semester with more than 125 adjuncts in attendance. Boston-area adjuncts requested the formation of a special ad hoc committee to address a variety of adjunct issues. As a result, the MCCC Board of Directors has approved an Adjuncts Ad Hoc Committee with the guidelines listed below:
  1. This committee will meet up to four times per year.
  2. Committee Charge: explore any and all issues deemed important to adjuncts.
  3. This committee will be co-chaired by the chairperson of the DCE Negotiations Team and one other member of the Adjuncts Ad Hoc Committee.
  4. Committee Chairs are encouraged to report to the BOD in the fall and the spring.
  5. As has been the case with the Professional Staff Ad Hoc Committee, mileage expenses will be reimbursed by chapters.
  6. The MCCC will provide meals and meeting space. Duration: one year with a review in Spring 2008
